.Welcome to another “Three of 3 on A Tuesday”. I will have THREE things or links of 3 topics for you to visit/read every Tuesday to either showcase tutorials, inspirations, random daily thoughts or it could be any fabric/notion sales running that particular week. So for today, here are the THREE of 3 things:

three of 3 Tuesday_ Summer quilt inspirations

NOTE : I no longer promote Craftsy/Bluprint as I used to due to the way the subscription is currently being carried out. I had the issue of cancelling my subscription when the company changed hand and I find that cancelling through calls is inconvenient. However, I do still stand behind these classes I promote and if you are subscribed, you can surely check these classes I recommend on the platform. If you are looking for another online platform to learn craft such as quilting, do check out CreativeBug. It is much cheaper in subscription (subscribe now 3 months for only $5). Thank you.

3 Summer Quilt Inspirations

Since Malaysia is always Summer (Tropical): I am always inspired to make Summer Quilts. I love bright colours, especially yellows! For Summer Quilts, I love BAMBOO BATTING (they are also awesome and easy to quilt using a domestic machine). And, recently I am inspired to use RAYON as backing -I am going to try it soon (Thanks @oklaroots over at Instagram for the Idea!)

  1. This is a fun quilt! Full tutorial as well included. You can choose one block and make it into a great summer quilt, otherwise, the row-by-row layout is also fun!
  2. Nothing like a good fresh glass of fruit drink in the summer. I love this quilt block.
  3. Paper piecing is one of my favourite way to make one of this pictorial quilt.

3 Craftsy Classes I’m loving currently

I watch a lot of Craftsy Classes while hand-sewing. I make sure I am using the most of my Craftsy Unlimited subscription. I recommend you do so too to make the most of yours. Check this post for more tips how to make sure you are getting more than what you’ve paid for.

  1. I just recently was able to catch up with Angela Walter Live. I missed it when it was on air LIVE, but I am glad it is in the archives for Craftsy Unlimited Members. I thought it was more of a sew-along, but rather more of a live session of q&a with Angela. I guess it was easier to prerecord the sewing session. Anyway, If you watched, are you making the quilt? I want to so badly! I love the one with the dark background.
  2. Starry Path Quilt: Another from start to finish quilt making class. I love the quilting textures. And Christa is also one of my favourite teacher and blogger. Check out her startup Library class too.
  3. I love making quilted bags. I think I juts found my next project bags to make from this Class.

3 things that I am listening to this week

I am a big fan of Audible, as someone who loves multi-tasking while doing mindless sewing on the machine, running or dishes (ugh :P), I love that these times can also be accompanied by great stories in my ears or great knowledge to learn. If you have never tried Audible, I recommend you try it for FREE with two books HERE>, I also recommend a wireless earphone so it is easy to move about.

This week I am listening to:

  1. Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine
  2. I am listening back to Big Magic (a must-read for all creative people), and some of Liz’s podcast Magic Lesson HERE>
  3. Calum Scott “You are the reason”: currently my favourite song to hear to.

What are you listening/reading to this week?
