3 Double Wedding Ring Quilts Inspiration Links
I am still quilting my double wedding ring quilt. It seems like forever and the blocks seem like they are growing more and more as I quilt it. Regardless, I am trying to enjoy it and taking it slow instead of trying to push on it much. I find it more fun that way rather than trying to push myself to a deadline. Anyway, now that that quilt is almost finished, can I say that I might be making another DWR quilt in the future? Haha. Yes, I might. I have been looking for more ideas.
- I have seen this one real life. It is so beautiful! No kidding. Deserves every ribbon. I am always amazed at all the hand-applique and hand-quilted quilts.
- Let’s enjoy the variation of DWR in this episode of Sewing with Nancy with an amazing DWR quilter. (on the side note: Though Nancy is gone, her legacy remains. May she RIP)
- Want to try DWR for yourself? Why not try a small project like a pillow first. This pillow is an awesome inspiration.
3 things to check out
- Chambray fabric is an option to swap with your usual background fabrics. Get it by the bolt at this slashed price!! Price will be at this for a limited time only.
- Cut time cutting pieces for a double wedding ring quilt using this.
- This drawer trolley would be great to keep all work in progress neat and organized! Pair it with a label in front. Perfect organization, I’d say.
3 things I am to work on this week
- As I said earlier, I am still quilting my double wedding ring quilt. I happen to break something too – wait for that story in my upcoming newsletter this week.
- I am going to whip up another block for the FootHills QAL
- And whipping up 9 blocks for the patchwork barn BOM hosted by The Quilt Show for members. I do love piecing blocks! Actually, I don’t have a process I don’t like in making a quilt. Do you??
