Welcome to another “Three of 3 on A Tuesday”. I will have THREE things or links of 3 topics for you to visit/read every Tuesday to either showcase tutorials, inspirations, random daily thoughts or it could be any fabric/notion sales running that particular week. So for today, here are the THREE of 3 things:

3 Simple Easy Quilts (with freeTutorial/pattern
I am putting all of these quilts in my list to do whenever I need a quick baby quilt.
- Simple patches – not the regular 9 or 4 patch, but this style of patch gives a little more interest to the quilt. I can see lots of possibilities of this quilt in various fabric and color combo.
- Have a FQ bundle of coordinating fabrics? This quilt pattern is perfect for a quick baby quilt and to showcase the fabrics well.
- A take on 9-patch, this can be a great simple baby quilt if you reduce the blocks 16 and layout of 4 x 4 instead or 3 x 3 with a border all around. Love their video tutorials.
3 Craftsy Class to take to improve your quilting skills
I have the advantage to skim through the classes now that I am a Craftsy Unlimited Member. It is nice to skim through before you decide to commit. But be aware – there are soooo many good classes. I am an online class junkie, so this is something I really do enjoy. If you are still thinking about whether you should join Craftsy Unlimited, read this post HERE to get more idea whether you should or not.
- Can’t recommend Angela’s Classes enough. She is a great teacher and I love all of her classes. Her new Class, Quilting with rulers breaks down to the very detail of choosing a ruler, to all kinds of tips, trick and designs you can do with rulers. I am excited to get started with more ruler quilting in addition to my regular free motion quilting after watching bits of this class.
- Pick up lots of little tricks that you may have missed when learning to quilt with Marti Mitchell. Her class “Sew before you cut” covers various strip quilting and how to recognize blocks that can use this technique. I have made an Irish chain quilt using this technique before, but there were still some new things I learned from this class. Not to mention very inspiring! I love simple nine patches -and there is a black and white nine patch Irish chain in that class that I really want to try and make someday.
- Learn how to design using scrappy pieces with Edyta Sitar. I love that Edyta breaks down how she design the quilt in this class so that we can learn to design our own too. She makes complicated designs looks so easy! Definitely inspiring.
3 things I am working on this week.
How about you? What are you progressing on this week?
- I am making progress on my Flower Garden this week since I am traveling for an academic related workshop.
- Few more blocks of Sewcial Bee Sampler were quilted just before I head off, getting closer to the end. Yeay!
- Since I will have less time with my sewing machine, I am going to recheck some of my old post here on TLMC. I transferred my blog to its own hosting platform early last year, and some photos were lost during the process. Here is one I recently updated: Drawstring Bag Tutorial.
