List of 2024 Quilt Along

If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know that I love a good quilt along. It is one of those things that keeps me excited and it is just a good amount of motivation and accountability. I love seeing other quilters’ versions and keeping up with it seems a little easier with a community working towards the same goals. 

For 2024, here are some of the fun quilt-alongs that I’ll potentially be joining in. Honestly, I would love to join them all! But I have to be realistic and pick my play. I would love to invite you along with me! Have you picked any quilt-along to join for this year?

The List of Quilt Along for 2024

1. Scrappy Tiny Nine Patch

This one is for sure one that I’ll be joining in. I am a sucker for scrappy quilts with tiny patches! This one will be running all year long and the best thing about this particular quilt-along is that it is based on a single block design. It is rather the process of collecting small patches of scraps.

2. Vintage Sunburst Quilt Along

An all year long making Sunburst blocks using foundation paper piecing. You can find all the details HERE>.

3. 2024 Charity Quilt – Moonbeam

Every year, FQS runs the Charity Quilt Along raising for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and this year is another beautiful quilt that they designed for the Charity Quilt. The patterns are FREE but you are encouraged to make donations via the links they provided. You can also find the full quilt kit, which is gorgeous by the way and all the info HERE>

4. Moda Block Heads 5

This round started in Sept 2023 and it is going into 2024. There’s a ton of selection of blocks for you to pick to join along. There are some challenging blocks, and some simpler ones but a lot of choices of blocks to make for a monthly challenge. Check out all the blocks tutorial HERE>

5. Piece and Quilt Sampler Celebrate With Quilt Book

A scrappy mix and match block size Sampler Quilt using the book Celebrate with Quilt – The quilt along is for the cover quilt, isn’t gorgeous?. The quilt along will run all year long in 2024. Check out the details HERE>

6. A Quilting Life Block of The Month 2024

Another fun designer to follow is Sherri from A Quilting Life. She has done a block of the month for the whole year for several years already. They are free blocks available on her blog. Her new collection the Strawberry Lemonade is so much fun and she’ll be using that collection for her quilt this year which I’ll be looking forward to see! 7. Riley Blake Designs 2024 Quilt Challenge

You can find all the details of this Riley Blake Designs 2024 Quilt Along on this Page HERE> I love the active facebook group where you can get the inspiration and motivation to keep going throughout the year. The Quilt along Starts January 9th until May 28th with new blocks posted every Tuesday. Follow updates of other quilters joining along here: #rbdblockchallenge

I joined RBD Quilt Block Challenge in 2022 and I made one of my favorite quilt of that year! You can check that finished quilt HERE>. I did not join in 2023, but I am drawn to join in for 2024! I’ll have to figure out a fun sampler layout to get me excited again about sampler quilts. I have made several sampler quilts before and I’m trying to challenge and try out new things to spice things up. I’ll be sharing a post with some potential Sampler Quilt layouts soon.

8. Birthday Quilt 2024 with Edyta Sitar

Edyta is one of my favorite quilt designer and she is celebrating her 55th Birthday this year with #55birthdayblocks Quilt Along! She’ll be sharing one or more 6″ quilt blocks tutorial in 2024. You can find these tutorials on her blog HERE>

I am yet to finish off this quilt along of the scrappy blue 6″ blocks I made in 2020,
