Hi!

I have been working to finish off this quilt top of liberty patchwork courthouse quilt. It is so divine to work with these fabrics and I can’t wait to start hand-quilting it!

It will be my first hand-quilting quilt. It is a lap size. I think I will be able to manage it.

I haven’t been feeling well lately, I am not sure whether I have caught a sick bug , am still going through test after test to find out what is going on. On the bright side, I still can work slowly whether my study or sewing. They are moving at a slow pace but I am kind of enjoying it. Let’s focus on the positive and let God do the rest.
Chain piecing always. Great therapy patchworking is.really.
This is also my first time working with this many liberty fabrics. I love every single one of them. The details and the fine pattern just blew me away. Every month I get a happy mail of liberty fabric club bundle from polka dot tea fabrics . I squeal of joy and admire the beautiful pattern of these liberty fabrics every time I open the bundle.

I am looking forward to finishing this, but for now, I am still figuring out which layout should I make the quilt. What do you think?

Amira, beautiful blocks, but Liberty is hard to beat. Hands down, I like the continuity of the first picture. The medallion type layout shows your color gradations better, and your eye travels across the quilt top. I don’t think the second layout allows you to appreciate your rich fabric choice quite as well. It chops it up.

    YMMV~

Beautiful! I like the second arrangement best… I think it focuses on the fabric more. All I see is the white steps in the first arrangement. Lovely work!

Thank you Ashley..I am leaning towards the second layout as I fell the first one is a little strong..

Amira, I tend to follow the basic pattern of the second picture, however the 1st seems more modern to me and I am trying to move to the more modern.
I love your wedding ring quilt also. I’ve been quilting for 25 plus years and have not tried that one yet. I am proud of you….hope you are feeling better soon!

  10. I like the 2nd picture best. And YES! Bigger! It’s beautiful!
