FMQ for Beginners Mini Course Day 6, Lesson 5: Practice by Project

Let’s practice some more of your free motion quilting skill now with a simple patchwork project. Make these placemat and let’s put that skill to test!

Now, don’t worry if your stitches aren’t as perfect as you want them to be (I know we can be the best critics of our own work). Just head on and try making these placemats.

They’ll give you more practice room and besides, you can use them up once you got them done. So, what is to lose?

Download the project sheet below and let’s get quilting. The project sheet is just an idea, you can vary them as creatively as you want!

Today’s task is

  • Get at least 2 place mats done. You can even make 4, it won’t be a waste. Gift them if you don’t use them. Cause the practice you’ll gain from making them is worth it.

If you are not interested in making them into placemats, skip binding it and I’ll show you what you can make from them in the next email two days from now.

I’ll give two days because I want you to take your time to make these place mats/ quilts. So go quilt them okay? 😉
