Here is a fun quilt I made using a  free charm pack quilt pattern in sweet lavender and green! These are not my usual colours, but they are pretty! Sometimes, I like to try out new colour pallete just to see how I feel working with these. They were surely harder to photographs as I am so used to saturated colours. But I love the finish and I have the perfect person in mind to gift this one to. easy free charm pack quilt pattern

Free Charm Pack Quilt Pattern

The pattern is available for free on FQS. It uses 3 charm packs but it would be easy to do with a layer cake too. So if you have 3 charm packs or a layer cake laying around, this quilt is quick to make! Check out the Free Quilt Pattern HERE> The tutorial for the quilt is available on FQS Youtube channel and the version made is available as a Quilt Kit HERE>

Fabric I Used

I am using Georgia by Brenda Riddle for Moda Fabrics . I used 3 charm packs as called in the pattern for the 46″ x 53.5″ lap size quilt. The collection is composed of all the sweet lavender and light green colours with tiny florals patterns. I also love the additional yellow in the collection.

Free Motion Quilting Double Loops

I chose double loops for the quilting motifs. This is definitely one of my favourite quick to quilt designs that I often use in finishing up quilt fast.

It was a quick piece together the quilt using the free charm pack quilt pattern and I love practicing free motion quilting on smaller quilts like this! It gives you just enough satisfaction and yet not too big that you feel like giving up half-way! We all know that feeling.

I have a few selection of quilting designs that I go for when I want a quick finish. You can check that out HERE>.

To finish off, I added a light value border and a lavender binding together with a small label in the binding. The label is from my collection of labels I printed and designed as in the course Quilt Label Wizard. I love the small labels for smaller quilt projects and they are easy to sew in at the end with the binding.
