I have a couple of projects going on at the moment. None of them is really at the finish end, but I am really enjoying the process and jumping from one project to another.

However, my sewing room is not loving it that much. More projects at one time also mean that lots of things are out of their box and literally they are everywhere.

Well, I probably need to get back to focus on one or two projects only at a time soon as I am getting the overwhelming feeling with the mess around already. I still need to think how I can easily have all my fabrics ready to cut without folding them back again.

I have ironed most of the fabrics for the Patchwork Barn which I introduced to you earlier in this post. Since I plan for a scrappy quilt, I have many, many, many fabrics around.

I am thinking of hanging it on the hanger till next use.

Anyway, this few weeks have gotten me some great progress on the blocks. And in this post, I’ll share the progress of my Patchwork Barn Quilt with you.

Do you have limited sewing area? Or do you sew in the dining area? Are you looking to add a craft table to the space?

If you have a large space for sewing, lucky you. I know some of us do have the whole basement or attic to make it into their sewing space and I do envy them a little 🙂

If you don’t have the right space just yet, don’t worry, I suggest you try and make the most out of what you have now. I am pretty sure everyone starts from nothing. And later you can gauge your interest in having a dedicated space for sewing and maybe plan for it the next time you move, or renovate the house.

In this post, I’ll share some of the best craft tables or sewing tables that are space-saving for your small sewing space.

NOTE : I no longer promote Craftsy/Bluprint as I used to due to the way the subscription is currently being carried out. I had the issue of cancelling my subscription when the company changed hand and I find that cancelling through calls is inconvenient. However, I do still stand behind these classes I promote and if you are subscribed, you can surely check these classes I recommend on the platform. If you are looking for another online platform to learn craft such as quilting, do check out CreativeBug. It is much cheaper in subscription (subscribe now 3 months for only $5). Thank you.

Welcome to another “Three of 3 on A Tuesday”. I will have THREE things or links of 3 topics for you to visit/read every Tuesday to either showcase tutorials, inspirations, random daily thoughts or it could be any fabric/notion sales running that particular week. So for today, here are the THREE of 3 things:

Previously, I have shared some of these tips on my blog (which you can find in the following top posts):

but for visual learners, a video might be much more helpful for you. So hopefully, this video will benefit you, and encourage you to start quilting your own quilt with your sewing machine!

I am sharing with you today how I quilted block 24 – Crosses and Losses. Another alternative Loop Motif – a clamshell strand.

If you are new here, this post is a part of my quilt-as-you-go my Sewcial Bee Sampler, a sew-along hosted by Sharon Holland and Maureen Cracknell. I plan to share along the process with some tips and tutorial.

As usual, I have two blocks made for two quilts, one with custom quilting and one with allover quilting. Both would be a great practice if you are looking towards improving your free-motion skill. I am still practicing myself, especially with the custom quilting. I am learning as I go, so let’s do this together!

Another quilt finish!

A finished quilt is always a fun post. I love having a project finally bound and out of the sewing room for good. The joy of making it is one thing, but the joy of finally having a finished quilt to use, gift and photograph is another joy to celebrate.

Today, I am sharing with you my Community Sampler Quilt, bound and finally done.

I have been sharing the progress and finish on Instagram, and have been enjoying other people’s work too with hashtag #communitysampler.

Here are previous posts of the quilt progress:
