This week we have another fun block to make.

Anytime is a great time for candy!

I made two candy wrappers with the fun snow cap fabric and the tiny zig zag aqua. 

You can choose to make all of them with different fabrics, but I made mine accordingly with the pattern, I make two in green and another two in the tiny zig zag aqua.

Aww it’s sewwww cute!

You can easily make a long middle part to make Christmas Crackers! A row of crackers would be a fun table runner.

I have been working with scraps lately and while working with some tiny bits and bobs of scraps, my head was thinking about making a crumb quilt. 

So while I’m dreaming about this crumb quilts of mine, I thought I’ll share some ideas on how you can make crumb quilts using up your teeny little itty bitty scraps!

This year, the mystery quilt is called the Christmas Time Quilt-a-Long!

Now, I don’t celebrate Christmas but I do love the season. With all the glitters and decorations, it is always magical. And I love the joyful colours of Christmassy fabrics. 

I have been working hard trying to keep my scraps in control. The more projects we work on and finish, the more scraps we’ll end up with. Today I’m updating a little start to my scrappy ocean wave quilt.

Here’s an update on some of my slow stitching projects including my Home Sweet Home Cross Stitch, Chalk Talk Quilting and Grandmother Flower Garden EPP project. 

Now that I have come back to cross-stitching, I am making more time to sit and enjoy a little bit of hand-stitching or cross-stitching with Audible on or a movie. 

Usually, I also have my little one in my arm watching tv with me too, so my choice of tv would be all the kids move or Blippi. That’s why Audible books are on my ear while we enjoy the cozy times together. Lately, I have been enjoying the more available selections from Audible Plus Catalogue. Some great fiction  selection there too, which makes the subscription much more worth it as we can get more books a month.

How do you keep work-in-progress (wips) organized?

I am not sure about you, but I am a multi-project-at-one-time kind of crafter. I love being able to jump from one project to another! It keeps me motivated and excites me. P

But the downside of that, is the amount of things to keep tidy. There’s just so many things that can just be everywhere around the sewing room if things are not well kept together.

Hence, one thing I do is to at least give all of my project a home. When I am not working with them, they have to go back home. All of the related pieces. 

So there are a couple of ways you can keep work in progress at one place, and in this post I’ll share some of my favourite ways.

I finished a fun little Halloween quilt, the BOO crew a while back which was posted HERE with the links to the FREE pattern.

While I was tidying up the scraps leftover, I couldn’t help myself to try out the new paper pad I received from Fat Quarter Shop and use up my scraps right away. These fabrics were leftover from the quilt I made, it is the Stacy Iest Hsu Halloween Collection HERE  and the MODA grunge is Olivenite HERE.

I find it easier to use up as much of the fabric and sort them right away before I put them away out of sight. 

There’s a lot of benefit to using up your scraps as much as you can before they are piled on with the other scraps.

For one, you are already working with a good mix of fabric colours and prints. If you make a small scrappy project, it will be quick and easy plus it’ll match your quilt!
