Are you fond of those mini charm squares precut? The itty bitty 2.5″ squares of swatches are really fun to buy aren’t they?

Maybe you collect them and have yet to find the perfect project for them.

Maybe this is it!

You can use up different collections and make it as scrappy as you like.

Or you can just cut scraps into 2.5″ squares, with some background fabric and you’re good to go!

In this one, I am using Robin Picken’s collection Cottage Bleu. You can check out this fabric line here.

I love the saturated blue and yellowish green in this collection.

And the florals are just gorgeous. I have a thing for floral fabric. There are beautiful butterflies too in this collection.

The quilt was a super quick project and I chose to make the smallest size in the free pattern. It can be used as a baby mat, a table topper, or a drawer throw-over.

I had some fun free-motion quilting butterflies on this quilt. Just something to match the fabric.

As for the backing, I am using a floral fabric I had in my stash and I put a label on the back after quilting using the applique method.

This quilt label is also a part of the Quilt Label Wizard Ready-to-use Template. I absolutely love having a stash of ready-printed quilt labels for me to use. Makes it so much easier to put labels on the quilts just before it is finally bound and finally done with.

green, I am loving the vibe of this quilt.

I made a fun Instagram reel for this project. You can watch it below.

It is always fun to see projects come together from the beginning to the end in a matter of seconds! Oh, how we wish it would be that fast don’t we?
